More about Me

Let's say I love the comforts of being anonymous, despite the fact that for the most part it's an illusion. I will divulge some basics about myself so that everything I write has a context. I am about 40 years old male working in technology space. I live and work in California and love traveling when my vacations allow. My philosophy on travelling can be summarized by my version of Gusteau's quote "Anyone can travel" (From one of my favorite movies Ratatouille), you may ask how can I travel if I make very little or you may say that traveling is expensive and my answer to these questions is "Amazing planning". You will be surprised how little money you need to travel and I am not suggesting the extreme versions like camping everywhere and eating Ramen noodle only. I am talking about decent hotels, decent food and decent flights but nothing very luxurious. More on this later.
After thinking about writing a blog for a long time, I started this blog. Mostly influenced by Stephen King, I read somewhere that he writes 10 pages a day no matter how he is feeling. I am not aiming so high, but at least I started. I am 6'2 weighing around 190 lb's and am relatively fit, these are important numbers as you will see that these matter when you are in places where space is a bit constrained (writing this while counting the bumps on my head here in Japan.)
Why write one more travel blog when zillions of travel blogs are out there? There is no particular reason, I hope that I can say something which you will find useful. There is no profound meaning of life or Zen like enlightenment here. As Master Shifu says "Anything is possible when you have inner peace" (not sure how it fits here, but I just wanted to use it) from another of my favorite movie "Kung Fu Panda".
